Jessica is a Performance Studies graduate from the University of
Mary-Hardin Baylor. In her undergraduate work she was active
as a theatrical and dance performer. She wrote, produced, and performed solo
performances of
Inga Rheinholt. Jessica developed Inga as a fictitious character whose story has
been based on true,
autobiographical stories of Holocaust survivors. Ms. Stockel has performed as a guest
artist at Ft. Hood, TX, for III CORPS Days of Remembrance programs,
honoring Holocaust victims and survivors. The title of Jessica's
performance has been Nie Wieder
(Never Again)!
Further, at UMHB Jessica was a dynamic performer with an extensive background in the
theater. She portrayed Tzeitle in Tevya and his Daughters, Adriana in Comedy
of Errors, and Titania in a Midsummer Night's Dream at the University of
Mary Hardin-Baylor. Jessica has been a performer of literature. She has performed Sylvia
Plath's Bitter Strawberries for the Texas Nafas television program in Austin,
Texas. She has performed via distance technologies
and does voice-over work. She has served on the BellNet,
Peer-Mentoring team. She has performed a lead role in a commercial for the University
of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She has been seen on UMHB billboards and marketing materials.
Jessica has directed scenes in historical style from classic dramatic literature and the
play They Dance Real Slow in Jackson at UMHB. Jessica has worked on two independent films written and produced by UMHB Performance Studies
personnel.
She first served as a senior intern at Casting Works L.A. in Austin, TX, and
then as an employee, after graduation. She has been
the Casting Director for
JackHollingsworth.com in Austin.
