Carlotta Russell Maneice has a B.A. degree in Communication
and a M. B. A. degree in Business from the
University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She has been one of the most
outstanding UMHB Performance Studies
alumni, especially in her autobiographical performances of Sojourner Truth and in her
performances of
poetry by
African American female poets. She is a dynamic speaker, presenter, performer, singer,
and director.
Ms. Maneice's presentations are extremely popular. She is active as an historical
performer in the
Temple Cultural Activities Center's Artists-in-
Schools program. She has been in demand as a performer
in African American, autobiographical, performance work presented over the BellNet videoconference network.
She has performed her autobiographical, one-person production of Sojouner Truth throughout
Texas for schools, colleges,
libraries, Truett Seminary, organizations, and
churches. She has performed in Central Texas at a technology
fair
via videoconferencing equipment and for a television poetry documentary.
She has served on the BellNet,
Peer-Mentoring Team.
In Feb. 20005 to rave reviews, Ms. Maneice
performed the story of Sojourner Truth in Houston, TX, at the national conference for NAAAS conference (National Association of African American Studies and Affiliates - National
Association of Hispanic and Latino Studies, National Association of Native American
Studies, and the International Association of Asian Studies).
Carlotta Maneice has been a presenter and performer for
civilian and military, Equal Opportunity, programs throughout the US and
in Kuwait.
She has recently
served
at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait, as she has worked for the Anteon
Company, which has supported the 160th Signal Brigade.
She has been the Public Affairs Officer in the Public Relations Department for the
military.
